How I got a job in Italy for next summer

Hi there everyone, welcome back at my blog! Today I’ll tell you guys how I got a job in Italy for next summer. It was actually quite easy.

First I’ll explain what I am going to do in Italy and where in Italy I’ll go exactly. In july I am going to travel to Italy, to the Adriatic coast. I’ll stay in the province Venice for about 3 months. The work I will do is camping work. I’ll be in the camping team which means I will be working at the reception, I’ll clean accommodations and I’ll help the camping tourist around and do my best to give them the best holiday ever!

I will be working in a team of 4 persons, 6 days a week. on the 7th day I’ll be free, which means i can go out and be a tourist myself! I can’t wait to take the boat to visit Venice, since I’ve always dreamed of going there one day.

Now, how did I get this job? As I already told you, it is actually quite easy. I made myself a profile on a website supporting applications from all over the world. Creating your own profile in this website, it is important to fill in your information as complete as possible. You can add your CV and write down all the experiences you have from jobs you did before.

After creating your profile, you can search for applications. Applications you’re interested in, you can add in your list of favorites and once you found your perfect job, you can decide to apply! This works the same as applying for a job in your own country: You write a motivation letter and add your CV (be sure it is up to date) and you click on the send button.

After this you’ll receive a confirmation of your application in your email and within a week you’ll have an answer from the company!

Now, some companies will invite you for an appointment in their office which is settled in your own country. Other companies will invite you for a Skype appointment which is also working really well.

I myself got invited for an appointment in the office of the company which was settles in Alkmaar, the Netherlands. Before the application I practiced by writing down possible questions i’d have to answer. In this way you can maybe feel more comfortable during the application itself.

The appointment went very well for me! The conversation was good, and kind of fun as well! 3 days after this appointment I got a call with the good news I was accepted for the job.

after being accepted you’ll get an account on their page. All employees get their unique account on this page. It is possible for you to get invited to a class before starting the job, to be completely ready to start. Oh, also very good to know is that airplane ticket and accommodation in my case are included. This means I will work and get paid, but I do not have to pay the travel and accommodation myself anymore.

For now, this is all I will write. All I can tell you guys is that I am really happy with the job and I cannot wait to start this job next summer! If you’re looking for a job and at the same time want to travel, I should definitely try out this perfect combination of work and travel!
