Hi! My name is Sanne Johanna and I should have started this blog a long time ago. Many travels are made already without ever writing about them. I’ve been traveling a lot lately and currently I’m saving all my money to make the journey of my dreams, all around the world!
I didn’t always have this passion for traveling. Well, I loved to photograph beautiful views, cozy streets and breathtaking landscapes but this all happened in my home country; the Netherlands.
Before I started traveling, I was just a regular girl studying in college. I am graduated from the study Art & Media design and I had a job in the kitchen of an all you can eat restaurant. In my free time I spent many hours walking trough the forest and I loved to draw and to write. (I still do)
As a child I produced a book full of poetry written by me. I still write a lot and I hope to publish more of my work in the future.
When I accidentally ran into a gap year at the end of 2017, I decided to plan a travel. I never really traveled before but somehow I felt that traveling was THE thing I had to do in 2018. I wanted to do something out of my comfort zone and so I booked a trip to Morocco.
I remember the last night before leaving to the airport. I was so nervous and I was close to canceling the complete travel but since I couldn’t get back my money I concluded that I really had to go And wow, it as the best decision I ever made..!
My travel in Morocco was Amazing! I went on my own and traveled by taking shuttle busses with little groups of tourists in it. Traveling this way made me being able to meet many nice people and since it was my first travel, taking shuttle busses made me feel a little more secure and less ‘lonely’. Not that there was a moment to feel lonely though: the people in Morocco were extremely friendly and helpful to me all the time!

After all it turns out that Morocco made a huge impact on me in the most positive way ever possible and when i came back there was only one thing I could think about: I wanted MORE!
Besides the travels I do, I’m busy trying to become a better artist! I draw realistic portraits, I write, I paint and I illustrate. A silent dream of mine is to become a tattoo artist. Im really busy working on making this possible!
If you’re also interested in my art, you can find it on instagram @peculiarcreations.
More stories about Morocco and the other travels I did will be up later. Some great blogs are about to come up soon. :)
Since this is all very new for me this blog definitely isn’t perfect but I believe it will get better by time.
Love, Sanne
